Position Summary

(Registered Nurse - Regulatory Specialist, Long Term Care)

 

The Regulatory Specialist is responsible for providing guidance, structure and assistance with survey management for assigned client facilities to comply with appropriate state, federal and TJC guidelines and in accordance with established policies, procedures and standards. Will assist client facilities with implementing and monitoring progress of work plans with realistic timeframes to get back on track with compliance.

Posted Salary Range

USD $125,000.00 - USD $140,000.00 /Yr.

Duties & Responsibilities

Knowledge and understanding of facility policies/procedures, guidelines and state and federal regulations for long term care. Appropriately utilizes knowledge and understanding of regulations, policies and procedures to articulate accurate responses for identified survey issues. Validates facility survey readiness compliance. Manages outstanding survey documentation list for timely submission of information to survey database.

 

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Ideal candidate must be a skilled communicator, director and motivator.
  • Must be able to organize and prioritize many tasks effectively.
  • Must be a survey readiness subject matter expert – 3+ years survey management experience required.
  • Five years of experience as a Director of Nursing in a long term care environment
  • Previous Nurse Consultant experience highly preferred.
  • Able to react to emergency situations appropriately when required.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (RN) , BSN preferred with a valid RN license.
  • Must be able to travel extensively by air and personal automobile
  • OVERNIGHT TRAVEL WILL BE REQUIRED (75%)
